Advanced Professional Training:

STEM Global Exchange Program

“Advanced Professional Training" is a 10-month paid internship program in different locations across the United States, including major cities like New York, Miami, and Boston. With an increasing demand in both the United States and global job markets for highly-skilled Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) professionals, interns are placed in companies specializing in STEM. A unique work experience, which is complemented by online training and mentoring, interns will be placed in their specific area of interest and/or desired area of expertise.

This program and its partners focus on providing young professionals the appropriate tools, and practical skillsets for the field from project-based learning experiences. Interns will gain international work experience in top-tier companies, while broadening their perspectives, in order to have a competitive advantage in today's job market. Additionally, this program inspires and supports participants to lead change and drive innovation in their communities, by allowing them to better understand their potential for impact.

The Advanced Professional Training Program begins in March and September of each year. ALF will be responsible for finding the appropriate job placement, processing the J1 visa, securing medical insurance, and helping participants find housing.
